Daniel L. Gordon is the Founder and Managing Director of GLD Partners. Since 2003, he has led the firm in executing over $8 billion in transactions across the globe, with a particular focus on distressed opportunities and complex corporate restructurings. He directs the firm’s investment strategy and oversees the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of opportunities across public and private markets.

Gordon’s investment philosophy emphasizes disciplined fundamental analysis, rigorous risk management, and a long-term approach to capital allocation. He focuses on situations where complexity, structural inefficiencies, or market dislocations create the potential for compelling risk-adjusted returns. Under his leadership, GLD has developed a flexible investment framework that allows the firm to pursue opportunities across asset classes and evolving market environments while maintaining a consistent focus on preserving and compounding capital over time.

Gordon graduated from Boston University with a degree in Economics and Political Science. He later earned a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

He is also the founder of Gordon Philanthropies, a nonprofit organization focused on expanding literacy and educational opportunity in underserved communities.
